Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer, Ben Meiselas, tweeted about the former 49ers quarterback workouts for the last week. The tweet has since gone viral, generating thousands of retweets and likes.

Meiselas said in his tweet, “All who watched say his talent, fitness, readiness and skill are there.”

Kaepernick’s team is waging a public relations campaign, live-streaming his workouts to generate attention from teams. Some of the workouts have even gone viral on Instagram, with NFL wide receiver Tyler Lockett even volunteering to catch passes from Kaepernick.

Showing support for a possible Kaepernick return to the NFL was AOC, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, commenting clapping hands on a recent IG video.

Yesterday’s workout took place in New Orleans, with some of the other workouts taking place in other major cities.

Richard Whitfield, a trainer who observed the workout, told WSJ, “Five years? You’d think he just finished playing football during the regular season.”

Kaepernick took to Twitter on March 13th to let people know that he was still ready for an opportunity.

“For The past 5 years I’ve been working out and staying ready in case an opportunity to play presented itself. I’m really grateful to my trainer, who I’ve been throwing to all this time. But man, do I miss throwing to professional route runners. Who’s working?? I will pull up.”

We will see if these workouts generate interest from NFL teams.
