White Sox Shortstop Tim Anderson claims he and New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson had no inside joke about Donaldson calling Anderson “Jackie” over the weekend, in reference to Jackie Robinson.

Anderson, addressing publicly for the first time since Major League Baseball suspended Donaldson for one game on Tuesday, claimed the two haven’t had contact since the first time Donaldson nicknamed him Jackie, in 2019.
