Mike Schildt Accused of Yelling Expletive That ‘Reeked Undertones Of Racism’ By San Francisco Giants Coach Antoan Richardson
San Francisco Giants coach Antoan Richardson has accused San Diego Padres coach Mike Shildt of yelling an expletive that could have had racist undertones according to Richardson.
The altercation began when Shildt, the Padres’ third-base coach, approached the Giants’ dugout, according to the Giants’ first-base coach.
“You need to control that motherf—-er,” Shildt shouted to Richardson, according to Richardson.
“I walked to the top step at that moment and shouted, ‘Excuse me?’ because I couldn’t believe what I was hearing,” Richardson said.
Gibson, the crew chief, chose to remove Richardson from the game at that moment.
