Former Players Of Cynthia Cooper-Dyke Speak On How She Ran The Texas Southern Women’s Basketball Program
The Athletic released a story on an alleged abusive environment at Texas Southerns women’s basketball program, led by Cynthia Cooper-Dyke.
Cooper-Dyke has been the head coach of Texas Southern’s women’s program since April 2019 (she also coached there during the 2012-13 season). She was a four-time Finals MVP for the Houston Comets, who won the first four WNBA titles (1997-2000), and she earned an Olympic gold medal in 1988. Last season, she was named to “The W25,” a group of the WNBA’s top 25 players.
