Ex-NFL Tight End Charged With Murder

Former NFL Tight End Kevin Ware has been indicted on murder and evidence tampering charges for the alleged murder of his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Pomaski.

According to ABC13, Pomaski was missing for more than a year until her body was discovered late last year. She was last seen at Ware’s residence in April 2021. Her disappearance was immediately categorized under suspicious circumstances by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Pomaski’s family reported her missing and in imminent danger the month after her disappearance.

Ware was arrested in Houston shortly after Pomaski was declared missing. Ware, who is a convicted felon was reportedly arrested on a different set of charges in April and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail. According to police, Ware was caught speeding as well as being in possession of two firearms and multiple drugs including cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamines. If convicted on the murder and evidence tampering charges, Ware could face life in prison.

Ware had a short-lived two career season as a tight end with the formerly known Washington Redskins in 2003 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2004.
