Ex-Cowboys Linebacker & First Round Pick Rolando McClain Arrested On Drug & Gun Charges

Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested over the weekend in Alabama, according to a police report. The charges were speeding, possession of a concealed weapon without a permit and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The former first-round draft pick was reportedly speeding, when he was pulled over, on Alabama 157 at around 9:30 p.m.

Officers say a bag of marijuana was allegedly placed inside a pack of chewing tobacco and recovered from the car.

McClain reportedly also informed officers of a handgun in his car after an officer detected the smell of weed.

The former NFL and Alabama star, was previously suspended indefinitely from the league and last played in 2015.

McClain was drafted by the Raiders back in 2010. He played in Oakland before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2013. He has been released on bail.
