DAT’s DAVIS: Dwayne Haskins Dies At 24 After Being Struck By A Car
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins has died this morning, at the young age of 24, after being struck by a car in South Florida. The Pittsburgh QB was in Florida training with his fellow Steelers teammates.
This was not the easiest thing to write about, at all. I, along with very many others around the NFL, are grieving at the sudden loss of Dwayne Haskins. This very bright young man, who had a very big heart. I am sending prayers to Haskins’ family, friends, & loved ones during this troubling time. Haskins was going to turn 25-years old on May 3. Haskins was, in my eyes, a source of inspiration. Haskins & I were both 24, born in the same year of 1997; so to see that someone of my age could make it into the league, and have a chance at success, it made me extremely happy to see. I wished nothing but the best for him. He did not deserve to be taken away from us, especially his family, when he had so much ahead of him.
Haskins will be missed dearly. Rest in peace.
