Craig Berube Says Racist Comments Towards Kadri ‘In No Way Acceptable’
After initially refusing to comment, St. Louis Blues coach Craig Berube stated on Wednesday that the racist insults and threats sent towards Colorado Avalanche center Nazem Kadri are “in no way acceptable.”
Following his collision with Blues goalkeeper Jordan Binnington in Game 3 of their second-round series, Kadri, who is Muslim and of Lebanese origin, was the target of racial remarks and threats.
Binnington was injured in a collision with Kadri and Blues defenseman Calle Rosen and is sidelined for the remainder of the season.
