The Premier League is expected to accept the Todd Boehly-led coalition’s acquisition of Chelsea, but a crucial road block remains while discussions between Roman Abramovich and the United Kingdom government continue, according to ESPN sources.
Despite the league’s description of the process as “ongoing,” insiders say the offer led by Los Angeles Dodgers part-owner Boehly is anticipated to pass the league’s Owners and Directors’ Test (OADT) in the coming days.
