Charlotte Hornets Forward Miles Bridges Charged With Three Felonies Following June 29 Arrest

Miles Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles on June 29 and charged with three crimes.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, Bridges, 24, faces one felony offense of harming a child’s parent and two felony charges of child abuse “under circumstances or conditions likely to inflict serious bodily injury or death.”

In a post to Instagram, Bridges girlfriend Mychelle Johnson did not identify Bridges as the alleged assaulter but said her injuries were, “assault by strangulation; brain concussion; closed fracture of nasal bone; contusion of rib; multiple bruises; strain of neck muscle.”

Bridges, a current NBA free agent, reportedly turned himself into authorities on June 30th and was released on $130,000 bail.

In a statement to Twitter at the time of his arrest, the Charlotte Hornets said, “The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
