Cleveland Browns assistant wide receiver coach Callie Brownson said on Wednesday that she was given the opportunity to express her thoughts on the Watson deal before it was finalized on March 18.

Brownson was recently promoted to assistant wide receivers coach this season while retaining her chief of staff status for head coach Kevin Stefanski

Brownson told the Beacon Journal, “We had a lot of really healthy conversations, and I appreciated that. I definitely got the impression that they cared about the opinions of the women in this organization.”

After Watson’s introductory press conference on March 25, Jimmy and Dee Haslam spoke on Zoom and said they had engaged their family, including adult daughters Whitney and Cynthia, in the move to bring in Watson.
