Auston Matthews Suspended Two Games
The NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced Monday that Auston Matthews has been banned two games for his cross-check to the head of Rasmus Dahlin at the Heritage Classic on Sunday.
The Maple Leafs’ star got mixed up with Dahlin in front of the Sabres’ net at 14:55 of the third period. Matthews reacted with a cross-check to the side of Dahlin’s head after the Sabres defenseman slammed him into the goal.
