After A Foreign Substance Examination, Madison Bumgarner Was Tossed From The Arizona Diamondbacks-Miami Marlins Game
After an apparent disagreement during a check for foreign substances, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Madison Bumgarner was tossed from the game against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday afternoon.
First base umpire Dan Bellino, who was checking the veteran pitcher’s throwing hand, dismissed Bumgarner in the bottom of the first inning.
Bumgarner became enraged after being checked longer than the process usually takes and began shouting with Bellino before Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo and catcher Jose Herrera intervened.
