Tempers were running high between the Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon, and it all came to a head during the second inning. Mariners’ Jessie Winker getting drilled in the leg by a pitch from Angels’ Andrew Wantz had sent Winker over the edge. Resulting in a major fight which cleared out benches from both sides.
The Angels ultimately ended up winning the game, but they overall received the bulk of the punishment that was handed down by Major League Baseball. A grand total of twelve players between the Mariners & Angels were suspended as a result, with the Angels filling out nine out of the twelve names on said list.
