Former Vanderbilt star, Kumar Rocker, was drafted 10th overall by the New York Mets last summer. Rocker is a big name coming out of college after finishing a three-year collegiate career with a 2.89 ERA, and a College World Series championship in 2019. The Mets reportedly did not sign Rocker after drafting him due to medical concerns they had over his arm.

In September, Rocker had a “minor scope” in his right shoulder. Rocker had surgery after the deal with the Mets fell apart, and his agent, Scott Boras, tells ESPN that the procedure was not considered to be major and did not involve Rocker’s rotator cuff or labrum.
