According to Philip Lewis of Huff Post, TMZ has obtained surveillance footage of the altercation that occurred between Golden State Warriors teammates Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. Lewis posted the video to social media. In the video, Green is seen walking over to Poole and gets in his face. Poole then shoves Green away from him, which led to the 10-year veteran throwing a punch. Coaches and players soon rushed over to separate the two teammates.

Neither player is said to have sustained any injuries from the altercation. Green is reportedly facing potential discipline from the Warriors organization, but it’s currently unknown what the discipline will be. Warriors General Manager Bob Myers spoke to reporters following practice, allegedly downplaying the significance of the altercation.

“These things happen. Nobody likes it. We don’t condone it, but it happens. Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room … as far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally.”

Fellow teammate Stephen Curry also spoke to reporters, denying allegations that Poole’s reported shift in behavior being the result of ongoing contract negotiations. Curry called the reports “absolute BS”.

NBA Reporter Jason Dumas says that the situation between Green and Poole had been building up. Senior NBA Insider Chris Haynes cites that Poole’s teammates have noticed a shift in his behavior and that it was rumored to be due to ongoing contract talks with the Warriors. Poole is reportedly close to landing a lucrative deal with the franchise. Haynes also says that the veteran was apologetic in the aftermath of the incident.

This is not the first time Green has been involved in an incident with a fellow teammate throughout his 10-year career in the NBA. Green’s prior incident happened in 2018 with former Warriors Teammate Kevin Durant. Green allegedly called Durant a “b***h” during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers. As a result, the veteran player was served a one-game suspension from the league.
