A U.S Open Tennis fan tried entering the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Saturday with a gun, according to police. He then allegedly pointed that gun at employees.

The spectator was reportedly stopped as he was going through security. Police say he pointed his gun at security officers and then he fled the parking lot to try to escape from the policemen. The person was caught in the parking lot and was taken into custody.

Some media outlets are reporting there may be as many as two suspects. One was reportedly the man who was apprehended by the cops but the other suspect got away in a car and is still on the loose.

No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

The second and final week of the 2022 US Open begins on Sunday.
