Tom Brady’s marital status with his wife Gisele Bündchen is generating a lot of buzz lately after gossip site Page Six reported that the super model and the Buccaneers quarterback have both hired divorce lawyers, according to the paper’s unnamed sources.

Page Six also says that both of them are very involved in the lives of their children, and speculates the possibility that the two would share in joint custody in the event of the two following through with the alleged divorce. Brady and Bündchen share a 12-year-old son and a nine-year-old daughter and Brady has another son, 15-year-old Jack, with his ex Bridget Moynahan. An estimated $26 million property portfolio is among one of the assets the couple is reportedly looking into dividing evenly between each other, though their actual net worth and asset portfolio is not public record.

Page Six claims that Brady’s decision to un-retire from football could be at the heart of the couple’s alleged marital issues. Both of the spouses had publicly discussed the model’s desire’s for her husband to retire and be more present with their children. The gossip site, says that since his un-retirement, Brady and Gisele have allegedly had arguments centered around his decision to return to the game.

“I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is,” one source says to Page Six. “I don’t think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”

Bündchen was reportedly spotted in Miami on Monday without her wedding ring on, as the pair have been rumored to have been living separately for several months, according to Page Six and its unnamed sources. The truth of their private, marital status has not been publicly addressed by Brady and Gisele yet.

Brady originally announced his retirement from football earlier in the year, after ESPN’s Adam Schefter was first to report the news on Twitter. However, after only 40-days of being retired, the future Hall of Famer shocked the world and announced his un-retirement. Brady returned for his 23rd NFL season, which is also his third with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady took eleven days off during training camp. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told reporters that the absence was planned. Brady has not shied away from answering about his excused absence, stating to media that he had a lot going on in his personal life. “I’m 45 years old, man,” Brady said. “There’s a lot of s–t going on, so you just have to try and figure out life the best you can. You know, it’s a continuous process.”
