News: Brittney Griner Testifies During Russian Drug Trial

WNBA star Brittney Griner testified during her drug trial in Russia on Wednesday. Griner claims the language interpreter that was provided during her questioning allegedly translated only a fraction of what was being said, and officials instructed her to sign documents without providing an explanation as to why.
Griner was arrested in a Moscow airport back in February for carrying cannabis oils in her luggage, which is a felony in Russia that carries a sentence of ten years in prison if convicted. Griner recently acknowledged that she was carrying vape cartridges that contained cannabis oils in her luggage. Griner’s attorney recently presented a U.S doctor’s note that recommended the 31-year old use medical cannabis to treat pain.
