MLB Bans Pitcher Matt Harvey 60 Games For Oxy Distribution
MLB pitcher Matt Harvey has been banned for 60 games as a result of supplying a controlled substance in violation of Major League Baseball’s drug policy.
Harvey’s admission came during the trial of former Angels employee Eric Kay, who was convicted on two felony charges of supplying fentanyl which resulted in former MLB pitcher Tyler Skaggs’ death.
During his testimony at Kay’s trial, Harvey confessed to giving Tyler Skaggs “three, maybe four” pills.
The start date of his suspension was aligned with the start of the season, April 29th.
