Minor League Baseball Will Move Second Base Inward During The 2022 Season
MLB has decided to experiment with new rules in Minor League Baseball during the 2022 season. For the second half of the season, second base will be moved closer in and the bases will be increased in size from 15 to 18 inches. The goal of the experiment is to create shorter distances between the bases and encourage more base stealing and more thrilling base-running.
