Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks Suspended For Game 3 Following Flagrant 2 Foul On Gary Payton II, Who Suffered Multiple Injuries

The NBA has suspended Grizzlies guard, Dillon Brooks, for game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors after his flagrant 2 foul against Gary Payton II. Brooks’ arm swipe across Payton’s head not only earned him an ejection from the game, but also was the cause of a left elbow fracture to Payton.

Unfortunately, that’s not the only injury the Golden State player ended up sustaining during that collision on Tuesday. The team announced that Gary Payton also suffered “ligament and muscle damage” that will sideline the player for at least two weeks. Warriors host the Grizzlies on Saturday for Game 3.
