Four players from Kent State appeared in a viral video that displayed a locker room celebration following their semifinals victory against Ohio, calling out their Akron rivals by name & number. In light of this social media conduct, the Mid-American Conference announced that those four players have received disciplinary action.

“DJ Johnson has been suspended indefinitely, while Malique Jacobs, Cli’Ron Hornbeak and Julius Rollins will not play in the first half of tonight’s 2022 MAC Men’s Basketball Championship final.”
