Federal Government Begins Appeal Of Ruling That Did Away With Sports Betting Deal Negotiated By Gov. Ron DeSantis

The U.S Department of the Interior has officially filed a notice to appeal a ruling made by Judge Dabney Friedrich. The ruling in question invalidated a 30-year deal negotiated by Gov. Ron DeSantis, which gave the Seminoles control over online sports betting throughout the state, as well as other benefits. In exchange, they were to pay the state $2.5 billion over the first five years.
