Clinton Portis Requests No Jail Time For His NFL Healthcare Fraud Scheme
Former All-Pro RB Clinton Portis is seeking no jail time after pleading guilty four months ago to his nationwide scheme to defraud the NFL’s healthcare benefit program. His counsel filed a sentencing memorandum requesting a sentence of “time served” instead of incarceration however federal prosecutors are requesting between 10 and 16 months of prison time.
