$100 Million Claim Added To Former Oregon Ducks OL Doug Brenner Lawsuit Against The NCAA
Former Oregon offensive lineman Doug Brenner has filed a $100 million punitive damages lawsuit against the NCAA.
The University of Oregon and its former head football coach, Willie Taggart, are named as defendants in a trial that begins Tuesday in Eugene.
Brenner’s lawsuit against the NCAA alleges that he sustained lifelong injuries during workouts in 2017.
In January 2019, Kafoury & McDougal law firm filed a lawsuit in Oregon circuit court with Brenner, seeking $11.5 million from the NCAA. Documents obtained by ESPN state that the claim for pain and suffering has been increased from $6 million to $20 million, along with punitive damages against the NCAA for $100 million.
